Happy Father’s Day Canada

| Uncategorized | June 20, 2015

Father’s Day

As we are proud Canadians, we always take the time to appreciate the ones we love the most. As Canadians, we welcome the opportunity to enjoy a celebration or two.

Father’s Day is no acceptation to that great Canadian rule of fun we learned to enjoy. The sacrifices and true unconditional love that a father has for his child or children is only equal that to a Mother’s love.

As we celebrate this special day and solute our fathers across this great Nation and around the world, we continue to embrace their hard work and dedication in our lives.

A positive role model or not, a father is to be a respected figure in our lives. Fatherhood is not an easy one, and just like everything in life that we experience, it does require a bit of work and polishing.

As a father myself, I always keep an open mind and heart when it comes to my children, nothing is ever to large, unattainable for my precise children. In the natural, we do what we can to make our children stronger, so that they can eventually as parents themselves play it forward with their children.

Being a parent is never an easy thing either as expectations, and delivery plays the part in our fatherhood. So love your children and they will do the same, be a strong role model and they will be the same, teach them and they will teach others.

Sometimes our father child relation is not strong for whatever reason as it may be. However, Father’s day is the one day in our view that can be the day to mend and heal and not so great feelings with our fathers. It could be your turn around day that you work on that relationship with your fathers and fathers with their children alike.

We love you dad and you will always be our special man in our lives.  So go out there and show some good old Canadian LOVE.

Racoons are they Vixens or Victims?

Racoons are they Vixens or Victims

In recent days Racoons have been notably out full view with no fear or concern of human presence. The Toronto Animal Services is euthanizing the captured Racoons. Mayor Rob Ford acknowledged the Racoon issue in a news conference. Mr. Ford is against euthanizing them for compassionate reasons.racoon2

Racoons are just helpless animals that are just trying to survive like any other specie would. They scrummage through garbage to feed themselves and their young, which is no different than you or I going to work each day to provide for ourselves and/ or families.

This issue extends to beyond the City of Toronto. It is a major issue in every metropolis in north America.

The cost:

The cost of euthanizing and disposing of their carcass is far greater than implementing a ketch and release program. If you factor the cost of the injection, administrator, cremation it would be cheaper to just relocate them to a national park or crown land.

Racoons are protective of their young and family as we humans are. If they attack someone, is because of the potential threat it presents to its family welfare.

The remedy:

Try to relocate these animals to Crown land or National park. People need to just simply leave them be and not disturb them when confronted by them. Do not sick your dog on them or even try to hit them with a broom or stick. Be smart and just let them be.

racoon3Every day these poor animals are being destroyed and killed by the Toronto Animal Services. Please STOP this non-sense.

Tell your local politician and your SPCA/ Animal Services to find a better solution for this problem, killing helpless animals is not the answer.
